Jackson Hole Camping Trip - June 2008

These are some pictures from our Camping Trip to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. Great times. A view from our camp site at Signal Mountain on Jackson Lake and the same mountains from our campsite over at Gros Ventre campground.

Just hanging out on top of the rig watching the Bear. We had attended the Ranger Campfile presentation the night before where we learned about how to identify Brown/Grizzly vs. Black Bears. The next day, when the ranger arrived to the bear sighting site, she was telling everyone it was a Grizzly. We pointed out to her it was a Black Bear. She argued for a moment and then looked again through her binoculars and confirmed it was a black bear.

UTAH vs. MICHIGAN - Dave & Joey Trip

DAY 1&2: CHICAGO
Dave hit some Chicago Sites while Joey was at meetings all day.

SouthBend

On the road to Michigan is a little place called SOUTH BEND. Just a little preview for the UTES who will visit 'Fat Chollie" in November, 2010.

Day 3 DETROIT
After some morning meetings, we had the afternoon and evening to burn.
Downtown Detroit

GM Building and Lots of fried chicken places in Motor City.

OAKLAND HILLS

Ok, it is one of those big regrets. A client suggested he might be able to get us on to Oakland Hills. At lunch he asks, "So, do you still want to play?" Well, we weren't prepared. STUPID!!! It was just two weeks after the PGA Championship was played there. Huge miss. We went to the course anyway, which just made me feel worse. And yes, the head was nice. RULE #1 - Always bring your sticks with you.

Except for Dude's head, our seats were awesome at the Tigers Game that night.

ANN ARBOR: MICHIGAN STADIUM

It was a very quiet 108,000.

2008 Newport Beach

Here are some highlights of this year's annual Newport Beach trip:

Baylor (left) and Bridger (Below) just having fun.

John & Liz and all the grand kids.
We rode our bikes up to Huntington Beach one morning to watch the United States Surfing Championships.

In addition to seeing many of the old Powell Peralta 'Rat Bones' riders from the '80's (Mike McGill, Steve Cabalero), Boston was the only one with willing to put in all on the line by riding the mechanical surf board. Way to go Boston! Nothing risked, nothing gained.
